I really like this Nicole Richie editorial for Black Book. She looks like a tiny blonde Cleopatra with a dash of Lady Gaga, and the stacks of gold rings are just fantastic! A kind person on Oh No They Didn’t pointed me towards Bijules NYC for the nail rings & I am swooning over the rest of their jewellery!
I am part of the sun as my eye is part of me. That I am part of the earth my feet know perfectly, and my blood is part of the sea.

This weekend my Dad is back in New Zealand and it has me feeling incredibly homesick. Sometimes my heart aches for home. I’ve lived in Australia for a long time now but I still feel the most overwhelming attachment to the place I was born, as all people do. I never really had a chance to say goodbye to my home, we left thinking we’d be here for three months and 13 years later we’re still here. My pets have died, my house has been sold and I think I may always be slightly melancholic when it comes to New Zealand. In a way it’s actually comforting to know that my love for that country might never go away.
So, here is one of the main reasons I am so hopelessly in love with the Waitakere Ranges……it is BEAUTIFUL.
I think this is one of the coolest things to come out of fashion week. I’m not entirely sure whether they’re outtakes of a photo shoot (considering Elle style director Kate Lanphear is strolling along beside the model) or just a gorgeous girl being fantastic but they’re AMAZING pictures! I suppose The photos are from superfantasticpicturetime. The urban super villainess outfit is by Gareth Pugh.
Oh, speaking of villainesses….have a look at Villainess Soaps. I get really excited by cool packaging and clever product names so this line really tickles my fancy. Chloroform, silk & cyanide, pyromania, antihero and killer beez. Even their website is strangely alluring!
