Bright and Cheery

Watching Dead End, not sure if it’s meant to be funny but it really is. And my parents are moving to Qatar so hopefully there’s another Middle East journey lurking in my future :)

I am feeling somewhat melancholic today but my mood is being vastly improved by wandering through Julien Vallee’s site. Great art and an abundance of colour always lifts my spirits.

I’m watching the coverage of the earthquake in NZ and feel like crying. I was born/grew up in NZ and remember all the horror stories about the past earthquakes and vividly recall all the earthquake drills we used to do. My thoughts are with you, Christchurcher’s.

Glamour’s Golden Age

Just watched the BBC’s Glamour's Golden Age and fell a little bit in love with all things Art Deco. There are lots of lovely bits and pieces in the documentary; sequined dresses, bobbed hair, Busby Berkeley films, fast cars, radios and some really odd pieces of pottery.
