Just a quickie, I leave tomorrow and I’m trying to shift my focus from the enormous amount of information stock piled in my brain about plane crashes to something a little nicer.
http://igorandandre.blogspot.com/ is a good distraction. Danny Roberts is an illustrator and one of those people who I am ridiculously jealous of because they can create beautiful images with a pencil and a piece of paper. I particularly love his Romeo and Juliet painting.

I’m off to the UAE for two months this Friday to stay with my Mum and Stepdad in Dubai so expect this to turn into my travel diary for while. I’m so excited I can barely sit still and so nervous that I want to stay curled up in my bed. I suppose I just need to find the happy medium.

I’m fairly obsessed with costume jewellery, I feel so bland and boring without a giant ring or a stack of bracelets on my arm. The only problem is that it’s hard to find a way to keep my giant collection all in one place. One brilliant discovery I made recently was specimen boxes from science shops!
It’s two layers, the bottom layer has big squares where my necklaces, brooches and bracelets live and the top layer where my stud earrings and rings live.
My current favourites, I am OBSESSED with those paper mache bracelets from Tree of Life. $5 each? Heaven!!!
